Season of the deals.
Season 17 was for Sprint4Live the season of the great deals. Early in the season, a very great TTer, Nathanael Buso was signed, maxed and TT-centered. Later also Veenhuis joined the team, a magnificent Climbing talent. Also the hiller Rabi Utbah came to enforce the team.
A overview of the squads:
To start with the sprintingsquad. Moerenhout is the only rider who always has been on the team, since its existence, around 6 seasons ago. Though he is one of the oldest riders, he keeps performing. He concluded Season 17 with 720 points, which is a very nice amount for this rider. Unfortunately its likely he has to leave the team in Season 18... The new hiller Utbah (change for the talent Nuyens and a leadout) had some problems to adjust. He raced 3 races as captain, but didn´t score points. But Rabi said he will get used more to his leadouts and is very focused for the next races.
Next is the best performing squad: The Timetrialers. As already said before, Slico proudly announced on day 33 'the best TTer in the world' to his team. Buso also scored his first points, 450 in total. Figueira planned his best form for midway the season. The planning was very succesfull, as he managed to get 2 wins, a second and third place and 590 points. On the other hand Guerini dissappointed with 50 points... Mamita had a steady season with 290 points scored. Late in the season, Parry became the 5th TTer. Because he couldnt get along with Slico, he will leave the team as soon as possible.
In total, the TTers scored points, what is a nice outcome.
The biggest news for the climbers of Sprint4Live was the signing of Pepijn Veenhuis. Everybody was stunned with the talent Veenhuis showed. Slico will plain much trainingscamps with him, so he can replace Wagemakers in no-time. Speaking of Wagemakers, he kind of dissappoint this season with just 370 points. The reason is maybe the selling of Roha, who thaught Wagemakers everything... But the future is very bright...
Concluding, you can say Sprint4Live raced another steady season. Not very good, but not weak as well. The total points (2.830) is 100 points higher than last season. Also the #1 place on Top Movers was achieved and held till the end of the season. Besides that Slico also signed a few riders who can start performing the next season.
The stats:
Sprintsquad: 720 points. 2 results: a second place and a fourth place. All scored by Moerenhout
TTsquad: 1.380 points. 7 results: 2 wins, 3 second places and a third place. Scored by Figueira (1,1,3) and Buso (2,2,2)
Climbsquad: 370 points. 1 result: 9th place by Wagemakers.
The goals for this season were:
1. Max the 2 sprinttalents Nuyens and Osterberg on a nice average.
2. Achieve more points with the climbers than in season 16.
3. Extend the TT-departement with another top10 TTer.
4. Stay in top15.
The results:
1. Not achieved. Nuyens maxed very low in his sprint stats, just as Wagemakers. Because of that he was sold. Osterberg is still not maxed, but not trained very much.
2. Not achieved. Last season, Wagemakers and Roha scored 470 points in total. This season was even worse with 370 points for Wagemakers.
3. Achieved! Buso is a very nice TTer, and also a top10 one.
4. Achieved! Sprint4Live will end the season on a 8th place.
The new goals for Season 18 are:
1. Make Veenhuis the new climbing captain with a nice AV. Also max Osterberg.
2. The same: Achieve more points with the climbers than in season 17.
3. Maintain the amount of points for the TTers. Also buy a fifth TTer capable of scoring points.
4. Score more points than in Season 17 and stay in the top10.

No man. DH is far more important than HL. My plan is to go for DH:79 and then max CL and DH.
If he will make that, I eill be very happy:)
He'll reach 99/85/70 :p
But for real I would train him 90/60/60 first, would be a beast already if he makes that.
Yep, let's hope that...
I hope for making CL and DH, I'm happy when he reach that.
Keep us updatet about Veenhuis, realy hope he'll reach ame anderberg stats tha would be historical!
Thanks:)
Sounds like a overall good season! Good luck with season 18 that it may bring what your aiming for!
